Get the proposed treatment in writing
A price is easier to assess when you know what it describes. Ask for the product or device name, the areas under consideration and whether the estimate covers one appointment or a proposed course. Keep optional additions separate so you can see what you have actually agreed to.
The American Academy of Dermatology’s consultation guidance recommends discussing cost, recovery, realistic outcomes and alternatives. Our worksheet turns those topics into a comparison record. It does not give a local market price or establish what any clinic should charge.
Copy this quote worksheet
| Item | Record the answer |
|---|---|
| Assessment | Consultation fee, whether it is separate, and whether any credit toward treatment has conditions. |
| Treatment scope | Exact treatment, product or device, proposed area and what remains subject to assessment. |
| Price basis | Per appointment, unit, syringe, area or course; the total estimate and any exclusions. |
| Follow-up | What review is planned, whether it is included, and the policy for additional treatment. |
| Practical costs | Recommended aftercare purchases, parking or travel you need to arrange, and time away from work. |
| Booking terms | Deposit, cancellation, rescheduling, refund conditions and any offer expiry date. |
Do not guess a total from an advertised starting price. Ask which parts are fixed and what could change after the clinical assessment. If a price changes, request the revised total before consenting to the treatment.
Use the same question for each estimate
Suppose one quote names a single appointment and another names a course. You cannot compare them simply by placing the two totals beside each other. Ask each provider to describe the scope in the same terms: what is proposed now, what is optional later and how follow-up will work.
This is a comparison example, not a claim about our prices or another provider’s policies. We do not publish a fixed price list on this site. The team can explain the next step for obtaining a meaningful estimate for your goals.
Keep suitability ahead of a package
A prepaid course should not be your substitute for understanding why the treatment is being recommended. Ask what improvement the provider considers realistic, how progress would be assessed and when they would advise stopping or changing the plan. You can ask for time to read the terms before you decide.
If you are unsure which treatment addresses your concern, compare the treatment overview first. Our skin-booster and filler guide can help you prepare a more specific consultation question, while the clinician assesses which options fit.
Confirm the appointment details
For Metro Detroit residents, an area page describes a community served, not a clinic at every city name. Confirm the actual address, who will treat you and how to contact the team before making travel or work arrangements. Ask whether the first appointment is an assessment only; an inquiry through this website is not a booking confirmation.
When you are ready, request a consultation and mention that you would like to discuss scope and cost. Keep medical details out of the general form.
